Day 2 only and I've fallen off the wagon :)

I went to take my boots for repair at the mall right after work yesterday. Big mistake! As I come out of the shop, I saw this beautiful Kensie maxi dress hanging by the clearance rack outside of a rather expensive store for $20!!! I couldn't help but gravitate towards it. As I rummaged through the $20 rack, I saw this floral print grey blazer too. I told myself I'm in trouble now! I took the dress off the rack, brought it inside and tried it on. Perfect fit! The salesperson then asked if I wanted to try the blazer on too. I said it wasn't my size, but she had already brought it in so I thought, fine what the hey. Have you ever fallen off the wagon twice? lol... Day 2 and I've gone shopping. I knew it wasn't going to work for me - this whole shopping ban for 30 days. It will only work if there we no deals to be had. But that I have no control over especially since it's just February and there are so many clearance sales happening. So there you have it, folks! I am weak.. very very weak lol... Am I happy with these purchases? Hell yeah! Besides, I never committed to the shopping ban anyway ;)

Snowy snowy day and I'm out shopping

Syaf is going to have a night out with his boys on Sunday night so I took advantage of that! How? Well, he's always willing to take me shopping at the outlet mall. Normally, he avoids that mall like a plague. But when he knows I'll be home alone with Sofia and he's out having fun, he'll do anything to avoid a guilt trip! So today, while most Calgarians are probably staying inside because of the snow being dumped on us, I wasn't going to be one of them! I had a mission that was to be accomplished rain or snow! Shopping!!! What else??? I agreed to stop at dimsum first and had our stomachs filled. Hubby is very cranky when he's hungry. And I had every intention to have a shop-till-you-drop day. Sofia pigged out on deep fried shrimp and egg tart. I know, it's not the healthiest but I'm just happy when she eats at all!

So although I won't have an outfit post today, I have some fabulous and cheap shopping finds. Saturdays are my shopping days, since I'm at work all week. And no, it's not every Saturday! I'd have to get a second job if I did!

RW&Co. had a 50% off the last ticketed price and it was their last day today so I made it a point to make sure I snag some good finds there, and I sure did! I can't get enough accessories. And black blazers!

All in all, I'm happy with my purchases and called it a very very productive shopping day! :P

My new lace-up boots comes home :)

So after convincing my husband that he needed to drive me to Shawnessy (about an hour away from home) to pick up shoes from Aldo, my new lace-up boots finally came home with me yesterday :) Thankfully,  convincing him wasn't that hard to do. He is such a sweetie and really puts up with me, a lot! And not only that, the boots came home with a sister :P I wasn't sure what Syaf would say. Two boots today after all that boxing week online ordering! He's been asking me lately that I've gone bonkers, that I've only got two feet and what would I do with so many shoes. Quite frankly, that's not the smartest question to ask a girl.. or a lady! LOL....

I am so giddy with excitement. Shopping gives me a high! Especially when they are good deals! I'm sure every girl will agree :P Ahh, I can't wait for the chance to wear them! Here they are, and they're all mine! hahahaha....

Gaga over lace up boots

I finally found the shoes I've been looking for - brown lace-up boots. Yes, I'm still shoes hunting hehehe... When do I ever stop? Anyway, I digress. Let's go back to the shoes. The price wasn't bad. It's still on sale and same price as boxing day. Sale plus an extra 30% off, so it turns out to be $62.99. Not bad for a tall leather boots huh? I signed up for another account to get an extra 10% off LOL! Hey, every dollar counts, right? The shoes is called McDade. I'm also going to check out this one called Levoros which is a mid cut boots and has a treaded sole for a more casual look. The front is a bit too rounded for me though but it looks really good. This one is more expensive though, $90.99. It seems to me that McDade is a better value but we will see. There's only one McDade left in Calgary in my size and I have to get it all the way in Shawnessy area, way far in the SE/SW. Aldo doesn't do store to store transfers apparently if there's not enough quantity of the shoes left. How screwy is that! Anyway, I want the boots so bad so off I will go to Shawnessy tomorrow. Yummy, isn't it???? There are still some clearance stuff left in the stores and I've been bargain hunting for accessories. Today at lunch, I went with my co-workers to Market Mall for the purpose of going to Aldo to try on the McDade and the Lecaros. But along the way, we stopped by Smart Set and I bought a few nice things :) They were mostly costume jewelry necklaces and some belts. They were $3.99 plus an extra 25% off LOL.. These are the kinds of deals I like! Dirt cheap hahahaha....
I'll wear them on my outfit posts next time to show you. For now, it's soooo time to hit the sack. It's 4AM!!! I fell asleep on the couch for a couple of hours and woke up at 1AM so I was wide awake. But now, my sheets are calling out for me. And so is my husband's snoring ;) LOL... Good morning!

Just another manic Monday

Sofia woke up around 5AM calling out for me and announcing that she needed to poop! We expected this because she wanted to poop the night before but couldn't. So up his Papa went to assist her with doing her business. And we also already expected that she's going to want to sleep with us after that. No way was she going back to her bed without putting up a fight. She'll just keep complaining that she can't sleep until we give in and let her sleep between us. She is definitely the boss in this household, although I always fool myself into thinking I am! hahaha...

So... surprise surprise...Sofia did not want to wake up this morning. Poor kid :( I kept bugging her, sang the Go, Diego Go! song hoping that she would get excited... or annoyed, whatever the case may be :) All she did was, turn her back from me and said in her oh so sweet and sleepy voice, "Mama, can you please be quiet." Well, what else could I say to that? I figured I'll just let the dad handle this one. I didn't have the heart... or the patience :P And so off I went to shower and get ready for work. After that slow and wonderfully relaxing weekend, it is back to the grind today...

Fast forward to night time... I was excited because the shoes I ordered from Locale.com were going to be delivered. When I got home, my shoes were waiting for me to try on and I was feeling wooohooooo :D I opened each package and tried each one on. Big big disappointment :( They were not even close to my expectations. Darn! And I was so looking forward to them and been waiting for them since boxing day! When hubby came home, I bitched and complained about it so much so that he took me to Market Mall to appease me ;) By this time, it was 8PM and close to 8:30PM when we got to the mall. And Sofia hadn't eaten yet! There needed to be some efficient shopping to be done LOL.

So I bought takeout pineapple fried rice for her and hubby feeds her at Feet First, while I was trying on shoes. After a few misses, I found a pair I loved and all the bitchiness melted away hehehe....Here's some eye candy for ya!....
